Yeah I didn’t like the pick that high when it happened but now I can see why we took him that high. I expect very very big things from him this year and going forward. The sky is the limit for him in all 3 aspects of the position.

Smith was a smaller back but Norv used the fullback to block like he will in Carolina Cmc ran 25 times a game in college he can handle it

I remember a lot of people saying he couldn't break tackles, some were still doubting he could run up the gut even with Norv.

But whatever we're all happy he's looking great.

Moose Johnston was a great player.

I think Alex Armah might be more of a traditional "sledgehammer" than Johnston was, but we haven't seen that much of him yet so it's hard to say.

There was a fair amount of that, especially early on.

I think it wasn't until four or five weeks in before he got his first touchdown. There was an awful lot of questioning being done prior to that.

I was a huge on the anti-CMC train. I was also 100% wrong. Preseason can be deceiving but CMC is not scared to run between the tackles and can extend a play like no one else can on the team other than Cam. He’s in a for a huge year.

My only knock on CMC last year was his seeming inability to run through any contact. He looks a lot better in that regard this year. He's never going to be Jerome Bettis, that's just not his game. But last year he hardly ever ran through a tackle and oftentimes he was getting straight up slammed violently WWE style. It was a little scary to watch sometimes. That's not been happening so far this preseason. We'll see how that translates when the games count for real, but his preseason performance this year and late season/playoff performances last year have me thinking that he's going to be a very good if not great player for us.

To be fair, I think Luke has kind've spoiled us on top 10 picks. I think CMC could be really good or he could be a superstar, but I doubt he becomes the offensive version of Luke and he was picked one pick earlier. Yes, I know comparing picks from year to year isn't exactly logical, but like I said, I think Luke has spoiled many of us.

Emmitt was 5'9, 216. He was short, but the dude was built like a brick shithouse.
