Ron Rivera: Panthers still have more roster decisions to be made

Carolina coach Ron Rivera didn't rule out the possibility of left tackle Matt Kalil, who had his knee scoped two weeks ago, go on injured reserve. “We'll see what happens. We've got a couple of more roster decisions to be made from what I understand.'' If a player goes on IR after he's named to the 53-man roster the team has the flexibility to bring him back after eight weeks. Kalil, a league source told ESPN.com on Saturday, isn't expected to be ready for the opener and it appears past that.

That would mean that he probably has eight games left with this team, in addition to the playoffs.

I hope Tepper puts the screws on Marty and Ron to FINALLY address the OL and safety positions next off-season. Those positions have been too long ignored by this front office.

if cut after this year, he's 13.7 against the cap. 

you can cut him the year after and it's only 1.8

i mean obviously sunk cost etc but the only thing worse than him being on the team will be his leaving it.

We need to make a Jared Allenesque move with the O Line and or Saftey. Both of those positions seem to be our Achilles heel year in and year out.
