Sadly he is by far the best WR out of our 2 starting.  Torrey Smith hasnt come close to Funchess so far

I wish we would just say screw it and start Moore, Samuel and Byrd. Just put your best athletes on the field and let them work. If you put 3 guys with that much speed on the field at the same time it will open up the defense. I'm a firmly believe that's why 2015 went so well offensively when we trotted out Ginn and Philly(who wasn't even that fast). It opened everything else up. They could try and shut down the run and Olsen but risk getting burnt deep or play off and it opened up the run and Olsen.

Funchess has been disappointing this year, that's for sure. I was hoping that big drop against the Saints would motivate him to come in like gangbusters this year, but I just haven't seen it. Right now he looks like a 6'5" slot receiver, which is fine, but what we really need is a playmaker on the outside and he hasn't shown that yet.

Funchess doesn’t have the “it” factor. That’s not something you can just flip on when you want to either. You either have it or you don’t.

Honestly, I don't think Rivera has any idea how to put together a high-powered, explosive offense. Or what an offensive playmaker looks like.

Confident in saying that Tyreek Hill would be on the practice squad if the Panthers had drafted him instead of KC.

If Byrd played an entire game he might leave the field in a body bag

Funchess gives about 5% effort.  If he catches the ball hes sliding, falling down, or stepping out of bounds.  If the ball is high, he wont reach.  To the side? Too bad, he's not trying for it.  Hes a fuggin bumb and the only panther receiver in our history who is lazier?  Kelvin "Buffet" Benjamin.  Funchess is gonna be a high school coach in 3 years.

    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
    • Only 26 years old, fills the biggest hole on our roster. Top 3 at his respective position, yeah fug it how often does a future HOF player become available in their prime?
