Rivera "It's a 4 quarter game"

He is protecting his quarterback. Plain and simple. He isn’t going to create a controversy and call out cam. We all know how sensitive the media is when it comes to Cam. RR did the right thing.

He can call out Cam just make sure he call himself out. That 4th down was the start of the ending. Our lack of aggression will prevent us from getting the SB and winning it.

We can point to the fumbles, but the bigger picture is not having a killer instinct and matching the Redskins intensity. Washington needed to win this game to stay on top of NFC East and plus they got embarrassed on MNF so they had extra motivation coming into this game. On our opening drive we run the ball 5 straight times with adequate success. Now its 4th and 1 at the 50, we have a 6"6 250 pound QB and we decide to punt it. Only when the team got down by 14 points did they decide to open things up. Finally, Defense has bad personnel but even worse scheme. We play off coverage against a QB that is known for dinking and dunking. We dont mix up coverages and give the same look. I like Rivera, but he is not the right coach, ultra conservative. Hopefully he starts to feel the heat or we will have the same limp dick mentality  for Eagles game.

Let’s get one thing straight. We don’t lose this game if Moore doesn’t fumble twice. But I’m disheartened by the loss because coming back from it and winning is the mark of a great team.

poo like that happens though and you have to be able to overcome it.

I was pointing out how he didn't even consider going for it on the early fourth and 1,

Not going for it on that fourth and short is classic Rivera. Basically shows you have no faith in either side of the ball. You don’t trust your offense to convert and you don’t trust your defense to bow up and get a stop if it fails.

Tepper needs to light the fire. That’s the only way we get a coach willing to actually coach to his teams strengths.
