Dude I’m down with Eric 100% but that’s an ejection worthy play. It wasn’t malicious because I don’t think Eric is a malicious person but you can’t judge intent. The play is just there on its own. He deserved an ejection.

Right?

I didn't see the play until it was posted a few pages back, and that is a play worthy of ejection with the rules now.

I don't think he led with his helmet like Kazee did (kazee's was way dirtier), but it was still late and he still made contact with him in the head area after Ben had given himself up. Not a smart play by Reid.

Ejection was completely warranted.

Wish our OL would do that when cam gets hit

Been asking for the same thing for years...  i'll still never forget Cam taking a headshot against Denver, the crowd is going nuts, and Trai turning around looking at him, and then walking off.

How was this like the hit Kazee put on Cam?

Never said it was.  Matter of fact I find it to be a shitty call.  What’s shittier is that it gets used to push a conspiracy. Panthers got their asses beat last night so we gotta whine and complain and deflect.

I like Reid and think he’s an honorable guy. The call was bullshit and there was no malice or intent to injure on the play. But the conspiracy tin foil hat stuff is far fetched.

Eric Reid has been drug tested 5 times. I get you want to stick your head in the sand, but don’t attack others by labeling them with the “conspiracy theorist” moniker when it’s clear to see what’s going on.

I’ve gotta homie in the league who I was texting about it with this morning, and he pretty much said the same. Said players don’t get tested like that unless they’ve been previously busted for drugs. The fact he’s been tested 5 times let’s you know what’s up.

Penalty? Yes. Not a flagrant one.

Eric Reid is being blackballed by a league that conspired against him in the first place. It couldn't be more obvious.

The rules no longer require the hit to be flagrant.  You hit the QB in the head while he's sliding, you're out.  It's BS, I agree, but the refs made the right call given the rules that are in place.

can't be any more obvious than that.

if they can't catch him, they're going to start testing all our guys regularly. I think they are going to at some point really try to put the squeeze on us.

They made the call they were allowed to make based on the open rules in place.

The league is trying to bully Reid. Just keep giving him more and more ammo for his grievance

Lol who didn’t see this thread coming ..

If the roles were reversed most of you would be celebrating the ejection.

Though it’s messed up they didn’t flag the retaliatiors

See the thing is when  one of our players retaliated we got penalties offset. (  that player got  nothing nada nothing at all )  so of course I’m looking at this like this is bullshit. And of course we’d be rejoicing there’s one less player we have to deal with while we’re playing the game but that doesn’t mean it’s right call.  You act like somethings going in our favor makes it right

TD is really the only one on the team who should be getting tested like that, as he’s been popped recently. It would be interested to find out how many times he’s been tested so far since his return.

Youre right, though. They’re going to keep coming after Reid, and if they can’t get him, they’ll start going after other panthers. I believe you get a certain amount of ejections before you’re suspended. More than likely, Reid will be ejected again.
