Likeliest of 3 coaching staff scenarios

How would you rank the likelihood of these three scenarios?

  • Rivera gets retained, we bring back a recently fired Steve Wilks as DC
  • Rivera gets retained, we bring back a recently fired McDermott as DC
  • Tepper cleans house.  We hire a young offensive guy (I.E. DeFillipo Dan Campbell, Bieniemy, etc.)

I see absolutely zero chance of Ron Meeks getting a job here again.

Much as I hate to say it, if Eric Washington is out and it's Rivera's choice who to replace him with, don't be surprised to see Richard Rodgers get promoted to that job.

Please no

It all depends on the finish. If we get ourselves straightened out and make a run down the stretch I doubt anything will change. If the downward spiral continues, I think we'll see a wholesale change. I don't think Tepper will let Ron simply scapegoat Washington. If there is a change, I think we'll go with an aggressive offensive minded coach. Looking at what teams like the Chiefs, Rams, and Saints are doing and then looking at our roster, o think we have to go with an offensive minded coach. We have a franchise QB and a lot of young weapons around him in an increasingly offensive driven league. I'd love an aggressive young offensive minded coach who would bring with him a seasoned veteran DC.

What we have now is really worst case scenerio.  If RR was straight up trash it would be easy to cut ties, instead we have this zombie/undead push every year to just barely make the post season and then a quick exit.  Will  RR & Norv outwit Peyton or Belichek?  It just doesn't seem like it.

Well record indicates they have, at least RR, outwitted Belichek..

Not gonna happen. BTW why don’t we use Olsen more?

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
