What happened to Ian Thomas

Jeremy Igo

Recommended Posts

He ran 2 bad routes against NYG and has barely been on the field since then. Could coincide with Greg coming back but I'm of the opinion that he's in Ron's doghouse.

Young players make mistakes, and need playing time to work them out. I love Greg but Ian is a much much much better blocker. If a player is making mental mistakes in games, it can be a mixture of player commitment and coaching inefficiency. So, I'm not gonna write him off because he made a couple of bad plays in a game - see DJ Moore. He has playmaking potential and at the very least improves the consistency of the running game.

He ran one bad route and y'all ready to give up on him?

Who would you put on the sidelines for him?

He's invisible because there really isn't any room for him.  You're not taking any of the receivers off the field for an average - at best - #2 tight end, at least not for anything beyond tight/run packages.  And obviously you aren't taking Olsen off the field.

I don't see the problem.

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
