Just sounding more and more like a guy who the game has passed by. He doesn't have any answers because he doesn't even understand the question. I can't even blame him all that much really, the NFL has completely morphed into something he can barely recognize. The violence has been all but legislated out of the game, running the ball doesn't really matter anymore, and it's impossible to stop any competent offense between the 20s. Much like the Jacksonville Jaguars vs the Patriots in the playoffs last year, everything on the stat sheet points to a W, but they lost just the same.

Yup. Dont blame Ron. The game simply isn't the game he knew. He's never been a great gameday coach, but he's always been a great defensive coach, but he cant even do that now with the changes so we have to find someone who can.

I think Ron knows he's out. He has no idea how to fix this mess and he no JR to lean on with a "Panthers' way continuity" story after the season. BTW, the "Panthers' way" under JR was pure complacency. I truly think those days are over.

agree 100%.  However, Tepper has not shown us that much about the kind of owner he will be--as a part owner in Pittsburgh, a franchise that has had a grand total of 3 coaches in 50 years, he may not feel that firing the coach is something that is necessary.

Can someone explain to me what the point of these press conferences are in the NFL? Like who are these for? It’s obvious coaches and players use talking points that has no real meaning or impact.

Who cares why we lose? We lost. Who cares why we win? We won. Lol I mean does it really matter what so and so player or coach was thinking during a game or play?

Mostly for the press to give them content to write about.

Its been widely reported that Tepper wanted to fire Tomlin in Pittsburgh. If he wanted to fire Mike Tomlin, then Rivera is as good as gone.

There once was a group of minority owners in Pitt that wanted to can Tomlin. Guess who was one of them?

Tepper was

And why does Cam always have to do them. He’s not the issue. How about these overpriced defensive players take the stand and explain why we keep losing

And it's the same old rhetoric.  You can escape it when the losses are scattered, but after the straight dings, the coach speak gets very old.  We have to be more focused, we have to step up and make big plays, and perhaps the most annoying of all- we will correct these mistakes and come out ready to play next week.  I heard that after the Steelers loss, after the Lions loss, and I am hearing now.  Quit telling me that next week will be an improvement.  Show me!  Otherwise, just conduct a Mike Leach presser.

I sure hope so. I've been told it's easier to fire a terrible employee than a mediocre one. Well Ron's making it easy for Tepper.

I take from this that RR is spewing random bites and does not know what the problem was--if the game is decided on a few plays, why did we not win those plays?  Duh.  To suggest that the coaching might be part of the problem is ridiculous.  It is ALWAYS part of the problem when you lose, and any coach who does not think so is not a coach.

    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
