Can the Panthers pull off a 2014

I’m like most people here In that I doubt very seriously that we win our remaining 5 games. I even wonder if we can beat the Bucs and Browns. But just take a look at what we did in 2014;

Panthers 41    Aints 10

Panthers19.    Bucs  17

Panthers 17    Browns 13

Panthers 34.   Falcons 3

Both the Aints and Falcons had beaten us in weeks 9 and 11

We had just lost 6 straight

Probably won’t happen but anything is possible

The problem is we don’t control our own destiny. Seahawks and/or Vikes would also have to drop some games down the stretch. I mean sure if we win out and go 11-5 but let’s be real, that’s just not going to happen. Period

Odds? It could happen... might be 100-1 but it’s possible.

keep i mind the Giants ,  Steelers,  Packers,.. Phily last year after losing the new NFL poster child and others got written off just like the Panthers are now and magically proved all the haters wrong.

probably won’t happen,.. but it does happen and could

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
