If you can get Funchess at a reasonable price, keep him. Why not have more good WRs? Its been so hard to keep Samuel healthy. We run out of WRs pretty quick. Remember the old 2005 triple team smitty defense?

I'd rather find someone who can A) create separation and B) catch the football. I'm just fine going into next season with Moore, Samuel, and Wright as our top three. Add a mid-level FA or mid-round draft pick to round out the group. Let Funchess walk and cut Torrey Smith.

To me, you can sum up Funchess' entire Panthers career in that one pass.  It wasn't perfect, but the stakes were the highest and on a play that required a true WR1 to give all the effort and skill he possessed to save our season, he half-assed it.  I won't miss him.

I think that Smith is wrong because we really need a big receiver and funchess is that big guy on the team.  I love DJ and Curtis but two fairly short receivers.

What need is there for him if he can not catch balls that he should. We need a big body just not him.
