Panthers 2018 Season/2019 Offseason Breakdown

I haven't been able to dig into all this yet.  I'm juggling a lot of things as I get ready to head to the States in < 2 weeks.  Lots of loose ends to tie up.  But I really appreciate the effort in compiling all this info.  It's helpful to be able to see data for each position group all in one place.

IMO, there are a few very obvious cuts.

Torrey Smith saves $5M. Captain saves $2M. Matt Kalil saves $5M as a post June 1st cut.

Other players I expect to see evaluated are Shaq and KK. Shaq has been solid but unspectacular and he's scheduled to hit us for nearly $10M next season. He's not worth that. KK is probably safe next season due to his contract, but unless he bounces back next season will definitely be his last.  Cutting Poe would save $3M.

I'm working on my own offseason primer thread as we speak. It'll be a doozy like I used to do, so be forewarned. I'll be covering everything from cap implications, potential free agent targets, unit/position grades prior to the draft, potential draft targets, etc.

The reason I dont think cutting Matt Kalil should be done is because by the time they save money from cutting him, most big free agents will be gone. Might as well keep him for depth and dump him next offseason.

And you say Olsen is coming back, but will be the #2 behind Thomas...

Greg isn't the same at all. Even if he gets the surgery, u feel like his foot will still not be 100%. I would love for him to stay another season, but Ian Thomas has way more potential.
