If Rivera has one game left in this year to win, it needs to be Monday Night...in fact, his job retention should be based on it

...the same for those damned players.

I don’t want the team I support and pay to support to join the  list and become the fifth team in NFL history to have the most historic record collapses in history when starting at 6-2

its MNF  it’s Nationally televised   It is at home   I really want this team to get their heads out of their collective asses and look like pro players who give a damn

The Panthers don't have a great track record when it comes to nationally televised games.

The1996 Redskins started out 7-1, only to finish at 9-7, thanks to a 2-6 mark in the second half of the season

The 2000 Redskins also came out with a 6-2 record to start the year, and repeated exactly what the 1996 team did by going 2-6 in the second half to finish at 8-8 and out of the playoffs

Interesting fact: Norv Turner was Head Coach for both of those Redskin Teams.

We started 6-2 and since then we really haven't had any significant injuries (Washington losing 2 QBs for example) or anything that would normally cause a meteoric collapse like we are witnessing.

If that isn't an indictment of how awful our coaching has been then there is no convincing you.

The collapse is dramatic, but let’s not forget 2001. We won the season opener when we were underdogs in Minnesota. Steve Smith first NFL touch was a kickoff return for a touchdown as we upset the Vikings.

We didn’t win another game lol ... 15 game skid

and the coach was fired.

I just want us to lose out and get the draft pick. IF winning out were possible I'd say let's do it, but losing 2 out of 3 instead of 3 out of 3 may push us way down the draft chart.  Love him or hate him, Hurney has been money with first round picks, and we have a good shot and drafting an insanely talented, all world player with Hurney making the pick.

I'm taking my pie back. Hurney is the first to get the boot. He's not going to be here.

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
