Game last night

Maybe a little slow or getting to old to remember. But last night I noticed Rivers throwing a 'warm up' pass on the side lines before coming on the field on change of possession.

I know Cam does this all the time, throws one pass and comes on the field.

I have never noticed other QB's doing this.

Is this something that is becoming normal in NFL?

No big deal, just wondering

Helluva game.

Rivers took a head shot on that final drive and was livid when it wasn't called. Matter of fact, he pulled his helmet off before KC called timeout and I thought for sure they'd throw a flag on him. He was screaming at the refs- Cam would have been ejected.

Kelvin Benjamin sighting in a KC uniform. Saw him make a catch too.

Charger WRs are the real deal- even without Kenan Allen. Rivers was slinging it in the 4th quarter- wow.

Chargers everything is real. 3rd string RB was money, defense is good. They have a great coach. Could be an all LA Super Bowl.

Not saying I doubt what your saying I see it and believe it, but how many snaps does each player have?   I mean that kind of matters.  Is this a case of us having the who we have on the line already and/or is it that Ron plays vets over youth whenever possible?  Or could just be the original fact that he's just not that good but sometimes you wonder.  Lots of guys could flourish if they only had the snaps and I say that at any position.

    • So yes, him having his best game as a pro was a big part, but besides that him doing it while injured, while coming back into the game is a big difference.  Yea he has come back and played in games when injured...but he also in those cases have come back in and stunk up the joint like so many times he has in the past and THAT is what makes it different.
    • I don't think deep in the fan sense matters much, honestly. I still think he needs to be able to consistently place passes well up to 20 yards and that's what is more critical. He did that yesterday - he was basically 7/11 on passes 15-25 yards and that's good enough that it also opens up passes all over the rest of the field. In week 10 he was 1/2 in that range; week 9 2/3 with an int; week 7 he was 0/4.  Anyway we need more of that... He needs to be stressing defenses past the sticks for us to open up the rest of the offense.
    • That depends on the factors involved. Quite a few of the shorter passes that we do throw the "check down" is one of the first 1-2 reads. One could argue that could be because of Bryce but that's really almost impossible for us to know without Dave Canales essentially telling us that directly.
