Knowing how poor of a coach Ron is , do you expect any different when it comes to winning. It’s the same poo every year. Clock management, poor execution, not adjusting during halftime, playing to lose and not to win. Same damn crap and it will never change.

I don’t, but I’m not the owner.

You believe when Rivera and Hurney are fired Richardson's "stench" will finally be rid from the franchise as if when Richardson sold the team, he didn't sell it to exactly who he wanted to buy the team.

You know, a minority owner, of the team that Richardson himself called his "model franchise"

So like it or not, Richardson still will have had a huge say in which direction this franchise goes in under Tepper.

Oh...wow :)

We know from guys like Albert Breer that Richardson actually was pretty much never going to be allowed to sell to anybody but Tepper. He was the NFL's choice, and money-wise he was actually the lowest bidder. Not one of the lowest, the lowest. Heck, Richardson's own son came out in favor of Ben Navarro.

Since taking ownership, Tepper has removed every mention of Jerry Richardson from inside Bank of America Stadium. The only reason to statue hasn't been removed is because of the "contractual obligation", and Tepper doesn't seem particularly happy about that.

Throw in that one of his first actions Tepper took was to remove Richardson's prized NFL logo from the midfield of Panthers stadium (and make a big deal about it in the process). He followed that up by approving the signing of a player that Jerry Richardson never would have wanted in Eric Reid.

But yeah, Jerry Richardson still has a big influence on this franchise  :)

(seriously dude, do you even follow this team?)

He been fired but hey let's not believe julio santos that has a childhood friend that  works in the panthers front office and let's listen to Ian rapport and David newton

I sure hope you're right. The last thing I want to see in 2019 is Rivera on the sidelines.

You bring up Richardon's son's opinion like it means something. I think the fact that the team, if Richardson were to have died while owning the team, was to be sold to the highest bidder, and not put in the hands of his son, tells you everything you need to know about Jerry's thoughts on the potential of his son having anything to do with the team.

Tepper was already vested, and yes already in favor by other owners etc. so it makes sense.

I guess it's just a coincidence, then, that the Panthers current owner is from the organization that is Jerry Richardson's "model franchise". Considering Jerry Richardson had "pretty much no say" in who bought the team, and the team ended up being bought by a guy from Jerry's "model organization" he's pretty happy about how things panned out.

Actually, he wasn't. Reports from people close to him said he was angry, surly and saying things like "I don't have to sell this team if I don't want to".

(pretty sure he's also not happy about having his name removed from everything either)

Yeah, whatever you come up with, it ends with: The Panthers owner is from the organization that is JR's "model franchise"

Which doesn't matter at all.

Tepper is doing everything complely different from how Richardson would have done it.

That fact isn't being disputed. With the Reid signing it was quite obvious he is quite different from JR ...

Just saying, in the scenario JR was put in, he couldn't have received a better outcome than the guy who bought his team coming from what he calls his model organization.

Actually, it being the guy he wanted or it being the highest bidder would have been better.

Outside of the statue, Tepper has completely removed Richardson's name from the Panthers organization and pretty effectively cut him out of the team. And this wasn't done by accident.

So the notion of Richardson having any influence just because Tepper came from the Steelers?

:)
