I tried to tell you all.  Coaches who win or would have won back to back double digit games if not for QB injury don't get fired.  

 

You know who's a poo coach?  The man in Atlanta who is losing despite a healthy Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.

 

Even if you wanted Rivera gone, you don't do it the same year a GM has to be fired and thus forcing the franchise to settle for a scrap heap coach after the weeks/months it will take to find a new GM.

Forgive me if I find it difficult to get excited about the off-season and future following this abortion of a season with the same brain dead idiot at the helm.  Realistic or not, that's where I'm at with it.

I haven't felt this bad about this team since 2009 when it was becoming clear that we were gutting the roster in anticipation of a lockout and keeping John Fox because we were too cheap to fire him.

We had consecutive losing seasons in 2011 and 2012.

Those two teams had something in common with the current Panthers.

The players have won in spite of Rivera before, and there's no reason to think it won't happen again.  Yes, we need to fill some holes, but the core is still there (along with Djax, Moore, Samuel, and CMAC).  Would we like a better coach than Rivera? Yes.  Would we necessarily get one? No.  Let's just hope we can fill the holes we need for 2019 and Cam gets healthy... the latter part obviously is the most important

I'll always love this team and won't ever miss a game if I can help it but hoo boy becoming less emotionally invested in the Panthers a few years back was the right move.
