Tepper driven staff changes report from talking heads

Firing assistants hasnt worked thus far,  whats convinced Tepper that its going to change anything going forward? Is that going to change the horrible time management,  the huge chunk plays against his defense,  the conservative bullshit that simaultaneously nueters both the offense and defense,  the players always making critical bone headed mistakes that cost us drives?

At this point im just resigned to the fact that Riveras not going anywhere still riding the coattails of a magical 15-1 season 3+ seasons of failure later.

Its going to take 2 losing seasons in a row to for him to ever be fired.

Abd thus we will continue to wallow in mediocrity and inconsistency , and will continue to be mocked by other nfl fans because the organization refuses to change its losing culture

I see this as a power move . Tepper is telling Ron -look this is the way your staff should be put together- if Ron balks he’s gone. Simple as that . Win win really. Tepper is pushing Ron to the very brink and we will see who blinks first . We all know how stubborn Ron is...will he allow tepper to call the shots or will he walk ?

Tepper will discuss the matter candidly with Rivera after the season; should Rivera blanch at all about the scope of changes required, it is at least possible this situation could deteriorate. The Panthers job would be coveted by top candidates if available, which is not lost on ownership.

Tepper might as well fire this idiot now. Rivera will never change.

If Ron balks...Ron is just going to stand there with his arms folded and nod

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
