Nope. He is a bust. We need people who perform. If we want a project we can draft one for much cheaper

Let's get one thing straight.. The pass rush problem won't be fixed just 1 way.. We can't just draft a rookie and think that it's fixed.. We need 2 maybe 3 new options at DE.. We let the position get old to quick and now we need to truly dump a versatile set of resources into the position.. That means not only draft one we need to spend some FA money as well..

If we aren't going to go big after the top line FA (Clark, Clowney, Flowers) Then we need to look at the 2nd and 3rd line FA defensive ends.. I'd rather go after a young guy who might be able to hit his peak with us like a Dante Flowers, than overpay for a older guy looking for 1 more big check..Like Ansah, Graham or Wake .

Answer this for me first: Why was he a bust?

Then, is it fixable?

Then, how cheap can we get him?

This.

Eric Ebron was a bust for the Lions but was second in the league in TD receptions this year for the Colts.

Evan Mathis was a bust for us but went on to be an All-Pro for the Eagles.

Most busts never bounce back, but some do. For a contract with minimal risk I'm always willing to give a talented guy a shot unless there's significant off-field reasons not to. If it doesn't work out, just part ways. All about risk vs. potential reward and right now we're in the situation with our DL that we need to be throwing all the mud at the wall that we can because we have to find something to stick.

After 3 years in the league, dude is still only 255.

Some of y'all sure like to see 4-3 DEs that put their hands in the dirt get dominated by OTs.

We need pass rush help more than anything else right now. If he can only be a situational pass rusher who could help on obvious passing downs that's fine.

Dude is not going to sign with anyone who wants him to play "situationally".

Plus, undersized "situational" 4-3 DEs get dominated as easily as undersized "every down" 4-3 DEs.

    • In a lot of ways it makes sense to just draft a tackle early so they have flexibility with icky's injury and Motons not getting younger. I'd love for them to resign BC cause to me he looks pretty good anywhere they put him
    • Rods the one who needs to go if they don't win a cup soon, Overall I like the way Tulsky operates, do i wish he had pivoted to several smaller moves instead of going all in on a big acquisition? Obviously.   But RBA is the one I'm locked onto, he is too stuck in his ways and if if "his way" can't get somthing done he just triples down and proves his insanity by trying the same stupid crap over and over, the facebook casuals will be like but but but 8 years in a row making the playoffs.... yes we'll guess what we should have at least a cup to show for it, yes only one team wins every year but this year will be the 8th consecutive year making the playoffs.... heck none of us even get excited about that and haven't in four years minimum.  Our top guys are nearing the peak of their prime the time is now, but the canes seem content to stand pat and "make the playoffs" anther 5-8 years in a row.
    • #Panthers TE Tommy Tremble has a $2 million guarantee that is triggered today at 4 p.m. I don’t expect any movement there, fwiw. Tremble is due a $3.67 million base salary this season. He has another $2.4 million in incentives on his deal, per Over the Cap. https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/2032117015121391697?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
