Lynn Swann never had a 1000 yard season.

Lynn Swann averaged 606 receiving yards for his career.

Lynn Swann retired with 5462 receiving yards.

In Lynn Swann 's BEST season, he had 880 receiving yards.

Lynn Swann is in the Hall of Fame.

Lynn Swam played in the 70's.  That's kind of an apples to oranges comparison.

To be fair, the 70s were John Fox and Rivera dream lands,.. throw 25 times a game or less, defense, control the clock, special teams.

oh— quarterbacks died,. That was ok and totally encouraged.. there was no such thing as pass interference,.. 1978 I believe is when that started,..

throwing a ball to a receiver was like passing a basketball,. Fight fight fight!

lastly— Roid rage was accepted like Weed is now,.. if you aren’t roiding then you are stupid kind of stuff....

thats why they are all dead or dying now.

And yet Swann's teammate and fellow wide receiver John Stallworth went for 1000+ yards three times, including 1,395 yards in 1984.

Plenty of wide receivers were putting up 1000+ receiving yard seasons in the 70's.

Swann did not get elected to the Hall based on raw production.

He was elected to the Hall based on big performances in big games.
