Antonio Brown: If New Team Won't Play by My Rules...I Don't Even Have to Play

Sounds like a guy who doesn't really care about playing anymore or he wants to get released instead of traded to have control of where he goes.

No trade partner wants to hear that.

I can't recall any player trying to play hardball with the Steelers and coming out on top. No way they're going to just release arguably the best WR in football. Especially knowing that it would be HIGHLY likely that would have the way for him to go to the Patriots.

It's funny all these AB threads bashing him, but I guarantee you the people bashing him would be his biggest fans if he was traded to Carolina.

I kind of want this happen just to laugh at all the negative comments afterwards.lol

I would be excited and certainly hope for the best, but I'd rather we use that cap space and draft assets to shore up far bigger roster weaknesses.

For a guy wanting to be traded and call his own shots as to where he goes, he's probably getting dangerously close to going down that "conduct detrimental to the team" road with a franchise who probably wouldn't hesitate to take that road.

I agree and part of me likes what he is doing.

I think we'd all love to have AB it's just at what cost?

If he can figure out how to get released I'm sure Cam will be his first phonecall.

This. In a vacuum, who wouldn't want to add one of the NFL's elite WRs? The problem is that nothing happens in a vacuum. We'd have to trade valuable draft assets to get him and he'd eat up the majority of our remaining cap space. Adding AB would virtually guarantee that nothing else of substance gets addressed via FA and given our holes that would be a problem.

    • Wasn't talking about Medicare exactly.  Medicare advantage is different.  The one my mom uses is thru blue cross and blue shield.   Medicare Advantage (Part C) | Blue Cross Blue Shield (bcbs.com) My mom has been using it for about six months now.  Before she was using a medigap program run by United Health Care and it paid almost everything, but was costing her 400 a month.  The Medicare advantage plan doesn't cost anything (the premiums are actually paid by Medicare).  Now she does have copayments, some of them for for medicine, but so far, they aren't bad.  Hers also covers dental, which medicare normally doesn't cover.   I will state though that my Mom has Medicare part b (she pays for it, but gets reimbursed by the employer my stepdad retired from).
    • Can revisit when/if Charlotte gets an MLB team. It has been discussed lately and I think Charlotte and Nashville are supposedly high on the list.
    • Nfl leaders don't look at the population of just the city itself.  Charlotte has three of the top fifty combined statistical areas within a 1 to 1.5 hour drive.  Charlotte, Greensboro/WS/High Point, and Greenville Spartanburg.  Those three statistical areas include nearly 7 million people.  Other than Raleigh, the only one in the top fifty within an hour and half of raleigh is Greensboro.  So only about 4-5 million people.  Charlotte has many more people to draw from.   Also, many of the surrounding communities for Raleigh are not native born.  If memory serves, many still refer to Cary as Containment area for relocated Yankees.  One of the reasons the Canes do so well is a significant portion of the population are people who moved from Northern Areas.  Would that population translate into support for a NFL team?  Hard to say, but I see a tremendous amount of Giants/Jets jerseys in the triangle when I forced to endure the crazy traffic on 40/85.
