Who is your favorite round prospect that isn't an OT or DE?

I like Hockenson and Metcalf. Metcalf will be a Raider.

Hockenson would make an immediate impact,.. is a great blocker and pass catcher— would be an immediate upgrade over Ian and they both could play doubles for many years.

Yep, dont know why people say things like "you dont draft a center that high".

Well you do if they project to be a top 5 center, fit our scheme perfectly, and lock down a position of need on the O-line for years.

All of that nonsense should have gone out the window when the 1st rounders compensation was capped after the last CBA.

If you are still thinking like that (Looking at you Ron and Marty), you are going backward.

CMC is the 13th highest paid RB in the league...back in the day you didn't take RB's at the top of the 1st as the money was too high, now it's perfectly fine to do so.

Im on the Hockenson train as well but he wouldn't start over Thomas.  He'd start over Manhurtz.  He played Manhurtz spot at Iowa.

Thomas and Hockenson gove you the 2 big receiver targets while we have the small speedy receivers.

Greedy Williams, LSU defensive backs tend to transition well to the NFL.

Greedy may not be there either.

Dude was being hyped top 5 like Ed Oliver coming into this past season after coming off 2 really good seasons.  Then he fell this last year

He won't be drafted that high. He is a second Rd guy. I don't see how everyone thinks he should be picked at 16 but whatever.

Yeh I like Devin White and Hockenson,..

Devin would be the young Thomas Davis takeover immediately.

I didnt get to watch the combine yesterday

But while everyone drools om White's athletic ability and hitting.  His coverage has been suspect.  Thats the biggest thing that stood out with TD over others during his career here.  We draft Shaq, a versatile converted RB as well and played Safety to replace him.  And he has been being run out of town by some because he cabt cover.  So bringing in White would make me nervous.

No, what would be incredibly stupid is to pass up on a higher graded prospect at one position to take a lower graded player just because he fills a position of need. If they're close, then I can maybe see it. If not, choose your guy, or trade down!

Admittedly, I haven't been following this draft as closely as the last, but after maybe 2-3 edge guys, DTs and OTs, I'm not sold on anyone at those positions. And, I think that the defensive backfield could definitely use an upgrade, our receiving corps and our linebacking corps. That's how I see it. We could justifiably go in a lot of directions when we're on the clock.

Than you need to follow this draft more because scouts, talking heads and College coaches have all agreed.. This is the best trench draft in years and maybe the best edge rusher draft ever.. The 6th or 7th best edge rusher prospect in this draft could be a 10 sack guy.. That's how good this draft is .. It's actually has 3 to 4 1st round quality LT (which hasn't happen since the Matt Kali draft) and ppl love Bradberry but their are atleast 3 guys behind him who are plug and play centers or OG day 1..

This is a amazing draft for our needs .. And we would be stupid trying to grab a lesser position like WR, or RB..

Yep and we wouldn't even need to grab a rb at all if we kept Anderson. I still don't see how this coaching staff is still here, how do u just release him. I say we get a wr in fa. No reason we can't go all dline or oline. I think we could go lb since we lost Davis.
