Casserly proposes Panthers and Lions trade 1st round picks. He has Panthers selecting Montez Sweat DE from Mississippi State and Lions going corner.

2019 NFL draft chart from Drafttek values pick 8 is worth 1400 our pick worth 1000.  Break down shows it would take switching 1st, 3rd, and 5th to move up.  I would prefer giving up a pick next year or maybe one of the 3rds packaged with a late pick next year.

Keep all your picks draft a great player at 16

then we can stop complaining about week 17 2018....maybe

Best case scenario.

But you better believe that this fanbase will compare every guy picked between 9 and 15 to whoever we take at 16 for the rest of their careers.

I could see us jumping up from 47 to the high 1st to get another player.

so pick a 16 like Burns or Ferrell and then back into the 20s for someone else like Wilkins or McGary.

I don’t see us jumping up 8 first round picks. Could be wrong.lots of people will be butthurt if we do.

Who cares? This fan base cries after a loss and still cries months after a win.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
