Has us taking Burns

Mentioned his Versatility

Had him listed as a OLB on there

talked about his bend on the edge and how athletic he is

Even said has the ability to play LB in a 4-3 as a hybrid rusher Anthony Barr style

That’s exactly the role I want him for. I don’t really want him sticking his hand in the dirt unless he shows he can play with some extra weight and strength. Which means I would like to double dip and still draft another true DE.

Best possible scenario but Tony Pauline thinks Falcons will take him at 14

Yea I’m worried Falcons or Skins take him

Tak, and they picked up Beasley's 5th year and Grady Jarrett inside. I'd be surprised if they took another edge rusher in the first.

Outside looking in, they need better run support.  Jones needs a running mate, could also see offensive line or a guy like Lawrence from Clemson.

As far as WAS they need a QB, Smith when he comes back is gonna be 38 or 39 if next year, and Keenum isn't the answer and neither is McCoy.

If Burns thing happens.. It could be a start to a great draft if Hurney doesn't get to cute and uses the draft for what it is..

1st round = 1 of the 6 edge rushers should fall to you.. If not get a good OT..

2nd Round = 1 of the best FS will be there.. Solidify your secondary..

3rd round = attack the drafts strength again get More trench players with both picks..

4th round = now look at skills position players depth CB, RB, WR, QB

5th Round = Development trench player attack the draft strength again and get a player who can develop into something while playing special teams..

6th round = Another depth skill player.. Cb, LB, RB or WR...

Based on everybody understanding of this draft.. The Panthers should walk away with 2 to 3 Dlinemen,  2 Olinemen,  a Safety and 2 skill players later in the draft..

Could see them going OT in the 2nd as well.

Its a pretty deep class

If we go Burns, there's a Strong possibility we could have 1 or more of Little, Risner, Tytus Howard, Mcgary sitting there.

So Burns then Risner, Little, Savage, Thornhill in the 2nd

Then if we go OT in the 2nd, we could always package  the 3rds to move back up for a solid FS.  Would still fill 3 big needs with solid starters

    • It’s like being on the Flyers broadcast team feed so far
    • Boy the flyers look good early. Lots of bad plays and slow start by our team. Hope that changes before the score changes.
    • I guess I should have stipulated outside the sacred cow.   I complained from year one that Bryce should compete for and win the starting job on his own merit but no he was just handed it. I have been right there with everyone that wants competition.  But I don’t really have a huge problem with it for this season the way it has gone because where are the viable people we don’t have to trade for? I actually am okay with tiny hands Pickett because he is so close to Bryce arm strength wise and to be honest, skill wise. Probably. And it is only a one year deal.  That also takes into account that the QB class is looking stacked next year and if Young fails miserably then we get either a reset or a real competition and there will be more guys that I would like looking at in the FA QB class next year as well.    I sort of accept where we are this year and look at it as another treading water year (at QB). I just want to get to next year with some clarity. More than anything. And they did empty out the room (behind him anyway). Again, who was really there for us?  And I know it would not be a true competition at this point anyway. They are giving him the year, like it or not.    Also I don’t give a poo about winning games IF he sucks and or goes down after sucking because draft position and that stacked QB class.  And I want out from under him So Bad.     So I guess it is several factors that lessen my anxiety over his backup this particular season.    I am not trying to convince anyone, but you asked. That’s how I look at it.
