The LT position is not fixed just because one was drafted. Come on huddle, put the Madden down.

stand a better chance of fixing it doing this than doing nothing or waiting until later in the draft to pick up a guy that we really weren't all that interested in or had little faith in being an answer to the problem we have had for years at LT.

steps toward fixing a problem are better than stepping around it and letting it get worse.

Saying there's reason to be optimistic does not equate to what you're getting at.  Check yo'self Lumpion.

I'm glad that we're finally taking Cam's protection seriously. Cam will be much more effecient passer with better protection. I agree with drafting the best player available but at some point you have to draft for a need...

Just imagine a QB that can actually go thru his reads before dumping it off to CMC?  Could almost look like a real offense.

we've sucked at trying to replace gross. we finally did it.

We've had chances over many years to "replace" Gross.

And when we finally do it, we do it with a player that is better known for under-performing and laziness than hard work and compitence...

So "Yay!" then, I guess?

True.

Now how about those bargain basement OL and DL he signed from the Walmart aisle that performed really well, my man?   Do those not count?

Or do you just choose to believe those never existed?

It's always interesting to see all these firm/absolute opinions come to light the second after we draft a guy.  Little to no gripes about Little up until we heard we were serious about him yesterday.  Actually more 16 talk than anything.

Temperamental much? (speaking generally, not to anyone specifically)

And plenty of Grier talk with a ton being okay with him as our 3rd comp.  Just look in that thread about us loving him.  As Paula Demario Westingfries said: Don't act dumpy unless you've got a humpty.

there's not a lot i like about hurney or think he does well, but as I've been saying quite a bit, he does well with his first round picks and this was a guy he wanted at 16. i'm not looking at it through any other lens than when he does his homework on guys he wants in the first round, he does well. he did more homework on this guy than anyone else.
