Panthers claim tight end Temarrick Hemingway

Recommended Posts

CHARLOTTE -- The Panthers have claimed tight end Temarrick Hemingway, a former sixth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams back in 2016.

Hemingway, 6-foot-5 and 246 pounds, played in eight games as a rookie. After the Rams released him in 2018, he joined the Broncos' practice squad. Denver later promoted him to the active roster and he played in five games. The Broncos waived the 25-year-old yesterday. He has not yet recorded a catch in a regular season game.

Damn, do we ya think we have enough TE's? Not a single one outside of Olsen, Thomas, and Manhertz will make the team so i dont get why they are so hell bent on signing all these scrub TE's.

It seems like they’re hoping to find someone better than Manhertz

Yep, that's my take on it. I'm not surprised. Hurney had talked about the depth at TE in this draft class leading up to the draft. It seemed pretty obvious that they were looking at TEs this off-season. Not a huge priority, bit I do think they want to hedge their bets in case Olsen goes down again, plus starting to look at life after Olsen.

Dang, how do I quote this five times? It feels like improving the #4-10 TE is on the top of the list. My best guess is Olsen told them this is his last year no matter what.

I don't believe so, they just signed him to one of the richest #3 TE contracts in the league. I don't see it since the guarantees are high and they all the space with kalils' 10 cap hit in 2020.

They should ask Vikings what they want for Rudolph instead of bringing in these JAGs

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
