Rapoport interview with Tepper; Tepper: "He's our QB unquestionably & the-new-and-improved Cam will be better than he ever was."

Over a period of 12 months? Highly doubtful.

Cam trained with his issues, more or less the same for 7 years straight but not things have evolved in the past 12 months?

The post below yours makes more sense.

Tons of players change their routine year to year. Brady's TB12 program is a perfect example. He recruited many of the patriot players to switch their routine to the tb12 program. Matter of fact Cam does some of the workouts in this routine. He discusses it in his VLOG.

Tepper has been trained in coach-speak I see. Of course he would say this now, it's the offseason and Cam hasn't thrown a ball since December for all we know. They drafted another QB. I mean yea if he's healthy he's definitely the guy but we honestly have no idea what to expect out of Cam next season.

Money doesn't solve everything, but man it sure does help.  Having a Billionaire as a new owner throwing money around like it's confetti undoubtedly makes him look like a rock star.  I totally get it.  However, this incessant dogging of the past ownership, despite past organizational successes is what I don't understand.  If I didn't know otherwise, I would think this was a Cleveland Browns board the way past ownership is constantly mocked, belittled and deemed incompetent.  It seems nearly all past team ills fall squarely prior ownership (not players, GM or coaches for some odd reason).  I keep seeing this time and time again thread after thread when someone is pointing out something that went wrong in the past with this team...the blame inevitably goes to 'bad' prior ownership.

Before I get misconstrued,  I absolutely do appreciate what Tepper is doing for the team with the new facilities and improvements, but that does not make past ownership bad because the capital to pull these projects off couldn't be pulled out of a personal bank account if need be.  Remember, BOA just underwent a 4-year phase of improvements.

We all are greatful for NFL football here but they would win in spite of obvious limitations. JR wasn't a terrible owner but he was limited in what he could do. This guy doesn't have investors so his business model going forward is only limited by he himself. I'm glad he has enough to spend. Jerry probably wishes he was able to do what this guy can ultimately do.

It's the difference between the parent that takes you into a store and says "don't ask for anything" and the parents with full shopping carts at Toys R Us. Do both parents love their kids? Of course.

I get the point you’re trying to make, but being better than the Browns isn’t exactly a rousing endorsement. You could argue any Panthers success was in spite of Jerry’s ownership style. Ultimately he was .500 as owner and never fielded a back to back winning season which is a pretty incredible level of mediocrity. That’s not even taking into account his sexist and racist behavior.

This franchise is so damn lucky to have Tepper, the richest NFL owner and someone who is not afraid to put his money into the team. Best thing to happen since we lucked/sucked into Cam Newton.

Agreed, just because the necessary funds weren't there prior to pull off such ambitious projects doesn't mean JR was greedy or unwilling to invest into the future of the team.  Tepper has the means and is putting them to good use.  Kudos to him!  That's like hanging out with the new kid because he has a new Mercedes and dumping on an old friend because all he could afford was a used Honda.

True, it could be argued.  My question is what '"style" was it Jerry specifically used that caused the core of the winning teams to lose every alternate year?  It goes back to what I said, people are using JR to cover up bad GM decisions, suspect coaching and unfortunate things like injuries to key players. BTW, Marty 2.0 that everyone is raving about was a JR move and one that was heavily questioned initially.

Of course I only have an outsiders perspective but from everything that has transpired, I think the style JR cultivated would be that of a "good ole' boys club" that put loyalty to JR ahead of winning.
