Noticing a trend??

WOW!!

Recommended Posts

.Cox jr. And Obada probably weren't very excited about the McCoy signing because if for sure means 1 of them are gone..

Jmo looking at the scenarios..

Both are the least flexible to a multiple scheme front on the roster..  (Both being 43 DE) who aren't fast or flexible enough to switch to OLB in a 3/4 .. Both aren't really big enough to get alot of snaps at 3/4 DE..

The trend I noticed is everybody is mentioning Marquise Hanyes  when talking about this defense. .. Marquise is poping up in every interview.. Could he be the under the radar guy who shines out of no where? While Cox and Obada fight for the last front 7 roster spot?

I think Cox stays if it's between the two of them. Gonna be some stiff competition. Gonna really get the blood flowing. Hardest camp battle to date. Cox really wants to be a member of the Carolina Panthers.

A tough battle indeed.  Do you think Cox size is an advantage or disadvantage?

I guess that depends. Penetrating tight gaps as a girthy boi can be tough.

Great point.  I just hope if Cox goes down, he can get back up.  Cox has a history of getting licked.  It's like Cox loves taking a beating.

I'd be willing to bet McCoy's signing didn't arouse Cox one bit.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was swollen with rage.

Although I do believe he'll be playing an OLB and not a DE.

At this point, all three Cox, Obada and Haynes better really, really want to be Panthers or they'll have no shot of making it through to the first game of the season. There are a lot of moving parts to this defense (and the offense, too) and suddenly there are more name players than in previous years.

These guys aren't just fighting for a spot to be rotational guys, but to even have a jersey and a locker space. Perhaps even an NFL career at this point. If that doesn't motivate at least one of them to perform way over and beyond previous years, then we simply don't have room for them.

Right now they should be living in the weight room, watching film, getting speed training and learning special teams just to have a shot.

I'm sure Cox is stiff with fear.  Cox better bone up on OLB technique.  With any luck, we'll see Cox coming in the backfield.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
