sheesh, we dodged a bullet with Fournette going to the Jags

I was on the Fournette train for a little bit until I discovered CMC. Dude had everything that you wanted from a RB. To this day I still don't understand why people thought he couldn't run between the tackles. When he did it and did it very well at Stanford.

Uh...CMC has gone to the probowl and lead all RB's in scrimmage yardage. Been a top 3 RB since his rookie season. Fournette making a probowl isn't a clear indicator of how he's been playing as of late. The stats don't lie. CMC is clearly the better RB by a long shot. Attitude alone makes CMC better.

First, we should all know the Pro Bowl is basically a popularity contest. But, he went to the Pro Bowl as an alternate, in a season where he averaged 3.9 YPC.

CMC was an alternate as well, but the numbers were insanely better.

  • CMC 2019 - 219 Attempts, 1,098 Yards (5.0 YPC), 867 Receiving Yards (71 more receptions), 13 total TDs
  • Fournette 2018 - 268 Attempts, 1,040 Yards (3.9 YPC), 302 Receiving Yards, 10 total TDs

One of those teams was a play or two from going to a Super Bowl.  One of them had a trainwreck season that one of the players largely carried. CMC's best season >>>>>> Fournette's constantly injured garbage.

Simple, because he's white, and weighed 202 lbs coming out of college.

I wanted Fournette early on as well, just fit the ''pound it model'' but with the talk of making the offense more versatile, I did the most I could to research CMC, and as an east coaster obviously my eyes were OPENED.

He was a stud, and when the combine matched the tape for me it was a wrap regarding him over Fournette.

CMC was a 2nd team all-pro last year. That's a way bigger deal than Pro-bowl.

Fournette was suspended for being an idiot.

I've highlighted your unwarranted disdain for CMC before and I don't understand it. I think you just hate him because he's white.

You guys and thus race issue. You have to drop it. It is utterly impossible to say what a power back would do or not do in our system that has never played for us. You guys make these crazy scenarios and run with them. You guys are stans of cmc. Im a fan of the team. You think about race a lot with your racist handle

Panthers still need a power back to compliment cmc and take the load off.

oh wait we’ll just use cam for that, smart move

I know that there is cuteness and sarcasm there, but I'm really excited to see what Scarlett is going to bring. Holyfield may bring a punch also.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
