I Think we need to be done trashing former players who weren’t butt heads when they were in Charlotte

Not trashing, pointing out the obvious. Also relates to this season as that will be DJ this year. The decline in Funchess' reps last year should have come much, much sooner.

Well, if we're pointing out the obvious, it's pretty obvious that CMC was getting the ball.  The SS (Evans) and one of the corners (Whitehead) were on a blitz so HaHa was alone and responsible for being the last line.  Thus, he sat down in a super deep position and kept everything in front of him while reading.  I'm not sure this has the first thing to do with Funchess.

Funchess will be just fine with his millions from the Colts, he doesn't need Ned Flanders on the carolinahuddle to stick up for him.

From the White Knight of Newton this is hilarious.

People defend Cam Newton because he has consistently been the prevailing reason why this franchise has been remotely relevant over the last near decade.

No one is going to rush in to defend a mediocre WR who couldn't even sniff a second contract on a team desperate for playmakers.

You are grasping.

Funchess lost me completely when he blew a chance to win the New Orleans game a few years back— and also blew a chance to get back in with that sideline drop lobbed in his hands,..

he is garbage as a player,... no better than a Hank Basket.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
