It is Coach's Film Tuesday - a few things I see

Going over the Coach's Film on gamepass today. Will post items of interest as I come across them. 

This play struck me as special. The Cardinals really did give Allen a lot of different looks on defense. Here Allen gets pressured almost immediately and is still able to throw a perfect strike over the middle.

Yeah that was a hell of a throw. I wouldn't say Olsen was even really open on that play.

Really like how Allen moves in what little pocket there is. Little step that gives him another half a second to throw.

If Olsen didn’t catch that. If the ball was even slightly out of place, or over thrown 32 would have intercepted that and had a huge field to go.

Worth noting that first throw was in a very small window. The defender was really tight on Olson.

He was more open than it may appear from that shot. The defender was in a desperate lunge as the catch was made. Still a hell of a throw. I'm sure Allen saw he was gonna get hit from his left and tossed a perfect pass anyway.

I can't see the whole play, but it looked like 74 did a nice job of getting his man out of the play.

Got kinda lucky that Paradis basically ran into the guy and knocked him over from the side.

Hate to say it but he’s definitely a better option than Cam right now. He will see a much better defense in Houston this week, interested to see how he does

He's got a really good awareness of where his blockers are, too. He could have easily run into either Van Roten or Moton right there and he didn't step back into Little's redirection path. He really made the best use of the pocket and still found CMC in the heavy traffic. Honestly, in recent years, Cam would have pinballed off of 73 or 72 and into the path of the outside rusher.

It’s some of the best game film I’ve seen in a long time. On both sides of the ball. I’ll have some thoughts later, but Jeremy is covering some good points here.

That is what I like about Olsen, his great hands even when being tightly covered.  And love the check down to CMC instead of holding onto ball longer for the big play.  Good feels all over, loving it.
