Lol if you think this was to ease pain. Weed does very little to do with that.

it's probably very good for nerve pain

The use of cannabis and cannabinoids for chronic pain is controversial. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses of trials including multiple patient populations and formulations of cannabis and cannabinoids have found some evidence of efficacy for chronic pain [104-109]. A 2017 meta-analysis of 27 randomized trials and three observational cohort studies of plant-based cannabis use (smoked, ingested, or nabiximols spray, but not the synthetic drugs dronabinol and nabilone) for treatment of chronic pain concluded that there was limited low-strength evidence that cannabis might alleviate neuropathic pain in some patients, but insufficient evidence for other types of chronic pain [108].

Cannabanoids are very low where thc is high and vice versa. CBD has better treatment value whereas most weed is for fun. Driving around with friends smoking cbd? Na, don’t think so.

The team released a statement that said it was aware of the citation and that the matter would be handled internally.

sounds like he'll be playing.

Surprised the NFL doesn’t throw a drug test at him. I guess they only do “ransoms”

Again, outside of cancer pain refractory to opioid therapy, there is no indication CBD does anything.

Yea that’s all I know it’s good for. And for someone who has smoked plenty of herbs, trust me, THC does bare minimum at best for pain.

It's amazing how someone could put a multi-million dollar career on the line for weed, and how often it happens. Whether it should be legal or not (and I believe it should be decriminalized), you've just got to be stupid (or far to regularly high) to be so unwise as to consume or even carry it when it could cost you so much in the NFL.

Yep, I think it should be legalized and this should all be a non-issue but for the time being it is what it is. You'll be retired by your mid-30s and you can smoke like Snoop Dogg for the rest of your life.

I've heard too many first hand testimonials to say it doesn't help with pain. I talked to a doctor who is helping his kids ADD with it. I have a kid on the spectrum. I got CBD from his doctors office and it has provided him a mental clarity and a willingness to try things he normally wouldn't (foods, activities).

When you guys look up studies you have to understand that scientists write them for whom ever is paying for the "study/opinion". Big pharma has a lot off $ to create studies/opinions that agree with their social and financial goals. There aren't many independent watchdogs to provide non biased health information.

I only have about 5 beers a year.

It's under medical supervision and I follow the doctor's orders.

yeah, not sure what else you could even do without opioids.   been badly hurt before and had to take them. i can't stand them thank goodness.  you ever try a tens machine.  offer any relief?

the other part of the issue with opioids is about 10% of the population has a gene that makes them addicted after a single use.   that's a lifelong struggle

I guess that's why there is now a FDA approved CBD based anti-seizure medication on the market...

Well we were talking about pain specifically. I guess I shouldn't have assumed no one would be confused by what I meant.

Epidiolex is not yet on the market. All FDA approval means it that the benefits MIGHT outweigh the risks, and frankly we won't know what the results will be.

Also calling it an anti seizure med is VERY misleading. It has two incredibly rare, specific indications.
