The problem some of you have understanding is that we have won games not because of qb play. If Allen was absolutely torching defenses then yes he stays in. But he’s not and he’s putting the ball on the ground at an unprecedented rate. At some point that’s going to lose us games. And don’t say the cardinals. That’s the worst team in the league. We need better qb play. If Cam gives us that we have a real shot at a run in the playoffs.

I agree with this and really want Cam to come back in 2015-ish form. But I do think we need to try and eke out as many wins with KA as possible and not rush Cam back in. Realistically, though not necessarily rationally, we need to play KA till he loses or has a first-half meltdown. Also realistically, given KA's performance this weekend, that may be sooner rather than later, unfortunately.

yeah, they're never gonna talk about us much until we're in a superbowl.  they will talk about a 4-12 cowboys team everyday before they'll talk about us more.   we're gonna have to be really good for a few years straight and win a sb to start getting much play.   and as soon as we slip we'll be off the radar.

Sad but true.

Even back in 2015, they didn't really start paying attention until late in the season.

i need to see cam do some cutting drills and some jumping drills for a solid week before i give him the ok.

I would think a whole week of full participation during practice should suffice.  But yeah, we need a fully healthy Cam.

Allen is a great backup, I’m really glad we have him. He has not played very well the past two weeks. With the OL and defense playing like they have the past two weeks, we would have won weeks 1 and 2.

with that said, I want Allen starting until Cam is 110%.  Even if that includes some losses that 90% Cam would have won. Long term health is the goal here, not short term bandaging.

but we still have Rivera coaching...so...we know how he views long term health vs saving his job...

To say we almost lost because of Kyle Allen is false.  We should have won by 3 TDs last week and nothing Kyle Allen did is the result of us only winning by a TD.  KA put us in position to win that game several times.

So fumbling yet again on the 32 yard line on the right side of the fifty killing a drive was nothing?  The kid is not starting when the franchise QB comes back because of these issues.  He is doing his job as a backup and holding it together, but he was not flawless on Sunday.

This was in response to people saying he didn't have anything to do with the win

Cam fumbled vs Rams on our own 10 leading to points that decided the game.

You really are the Huddle Sh*t poster, egging on this malarkey.  Allen has six fumbles and has lost four.  It is an issue that people are bringing up because losing the turnover battle is a real issue in football.   Everyone knows Cam Newton doesn't have a fumbling problem, so the post is irrelevant.  I mean we only have years of tape to prove it.  Hope we keep winning while our franchise QB rehabs.

Allen is turning the ball over at a rate exactly in line with what many successful long-term NFL QB's did in their first 2 years.  In fact, his run-rate is less than that of Tom Brady & Peyton Manning in their first 2 seasons.

Carry on, don't let the facts get in the way of the (fake) story you want to tell...

Please show me where Tom Brady and Peyton Manning fumbled six times in four games as well as losing four of the aforementioned fumbles.  Do the work and show me the research.  And you keep responding, so don't give the I don't have time its out there bullsh*t.  Show me some evidence and I will concede.  Otherwise have a lick on me yarbles.  I'm not trying to write a fake story.

    • I really appreciate Bill explaining his methodology here because that gives interested parties a chance to try and recreate the results themselves. I believe that it's safe to assume that despite emphasis being placed on WRs that Chuba Hubbard is one of the Panthers' top-5 weapons. Considering targets, yardage, receptions, etc... Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette are also on the list. Jalen Coker's success might have snuck him in there as well. I can't draw a conclusion on who #5 is though. I've narrowed it down to Diontae Johnson, David Moore, Ja'Tavion Sanders, and possibly Rico Dowdle if they're taking into account his production for the Cowboys in 2024.
    • Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.
    • I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. But don’t talk poo about us. Because it make you look like Haula.    “need to get as far away as possible”. fug off. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…
