lol the same people claiming .25 seconds isn't much of a difference probably don't argue the merits of drafting WRs and RBs with 4.65 speed so valiantly as defending their new idol.

If DL knows when the snap is occurring on 75% of the plays

vs

If DL knows when a snap is occurring on 25% of the plays

Which DL will be harder to block?

If the answer isn't the same then....time isn't time.  Plus there is the entire aspect of how you scheme a defense vs a QB who gets the ball out quick vs who holds onto a ball longer.  Blitz percentages likely change.  I mean there are a million variables at play.   Then there is the sample size of 2 vs 4.

People WAY to desperate trying to make Cam look good when it isn't needed.  That CMC 40 comparison is junk.

time to throw is average time from snap until the ball is thrown.  It doesn't actually equal pressure.  It pretty much is just a stat that tells you part of big picture and alone means absolutely nothing? Could mean lots of things.  Could mean Allen has better numbers as a product of not being a one legged QB and little to do with the OL.

Seriously. The stat could mean any of like 50 different things and it is completely meaningless on its own.

It could mean Allen is reading the defenses more slowly.

It could mean Cam is going straight to his checkdowns.

It could mean Cam gets a lot more screens called for him.

It could mean Allen is better at evading pressure.

It could mean Cam gets pressured more quickly because the OL hates him and wants to see him get hurt.

It could mean the WRs don’t get open as quickly for Allen as the do for Cam because the WRs hate Allen.

It could mean Cam was scared to get his foot stepped on so he got the ball out more quickly.

It could mean a bunch of other things too.

It is a completely meaningless stat without context, knowing the play calls and studying all of the film.

Except if you've actually watched all the games, it means one simple thing. Cam didn't have the time to throw that Kyle has had.

Watching the games....Cam has a hand in that because he aids DLs timing the snap count in ways Allen doesn’t

That may be the case and if I had to guess the time until a pressure on Cam would have a little less time on average than Allen. I would like to see data that supports that and this stat is not that. It’s not like Cam was under the gun on every snap and Allen has all day like people have been portraying it though. Williams was fine outside of 2-4 plays a game where he just matador blocked which are obviously unacceptable. That’s the primary difference I’ve noticed between Cam’s OL and Allen’s OL.

Or is it that Allen moves around in the pocket a bit more, giving himself a bit more time.  Or is it that we have a relatively small sample size with Allen.  Or is it a combination of a variety of factors. Or is it a relatively meaningless stat?  Who knows.

Allen rolls out to buy time pretty often. Cam doesn't as often.
