Who’s your most underrated player?

Great topic idea. Gotta ponder this one for a moment. This might seem strange but I'm gonna say Alex Armah. CMC is having an MVP type season so far, and he's an insane athlete, and we've talked about the O line opening holes for him, but every runner needs that lead blocker springing him for the big gain. Fullbacks are one of the most unsung positions in the game, but if your running back is killing it, it usually means some fullback is doing a ton of thankless work, and doing it well.

Dennis Daley. I know he's had some help, but he kept Shaq Barrett off the stat sheet and did well against the Jaguars also.

Absolute steal for a 6th rounder.

It's surreal to finally have some offensive line depth.

And for a non-player, John Matsko deserves all the props and then some. The Panthers have weathered some major offensive line issues over the last couple of years, and the fact that he has had them playing competently to even above-average is stellar.

Although he deserves a demerit if he had anything to do with trotting Darryl Williams out at LT while we've have Little and Daley.

There is still a lot of football left, but the fact there are so many guys to potentially mention does speak to the remarkable depth on this team.

It's as good as any team I can remember.

The only team I would maybe put in contention is 2005. We had a ton of injuries that year and still made it to the NFC Championship game.

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
