Could we have as many losses as the saints going into next week?

It’ll likely be another grind it out, time of possession, protect the ball type of game.

We’re missing key pieces, they’re missing key pieces.

Their offense can be putrid and hopefully our defense will shut down their running attack and get after Trubisky or Daniel (whoever starts) to force a couple turnovers.

While their defense is really good, our offense with Bridgewater has proven it can consistently put together a handful of drives to get down and kick FG’s at least.

It may come down to who has the better kicker, and I’ll take Wil Lutz over anyone they have.

The bears are more troubled than you guys are.... should be a good game.

These 2 weeks are going to speak a lot to the status of the NFC south division. Both the Saints and Panthers will be starting backup quarterbacks against elite defenses. If the Saints lose and we win, I think we establish ourselves as the new frontrunners for the division crown (although admittedly not an overwhelming favorite by any means). Vice versa and we may as well concede the South.

If the Saints go into Chicago and somehow manage to win without Brees and Kamara, you gotta wonder if it's just their year. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Should be indeed. Only thing I have my concerns about is Bridgewater holding the ball too long against their pass rush. He’s going to have to be decisive and take what the defense is giving him.

If he tries to force some passes or holds the ball too long, that’s a recipe for disaster and turnovers.

I think the Saints offense crumbles into a shell against a top 5 D.

You mean like the Bears offense has crumbled by scoring 9.5 ppg against top-10 defenses?

The Bears defense is great.  The Aint's defense is great.  The Aints have a decent offense without Brees.  The Bears offense is terrible.

For the Bears to win, they likely need to score some points on the defensive side, and maybe special teams.  Could happen, but its going to be difficult.

If Saints win this one its a wrap. Saints vs Patriots Superbowl.

Saints may make it to SB but it will be an embarrassing loss on their part because the Patriots will literally stomp them into dust and the Patriots run D will stuff the Saints running game no matter what they do. Patriots will just send the Saints home empty handed anyway. The Saints are no match for the Patriots either.

The Saints offense is ok without Brees but that's with Alvin Kamara playing, who is 6th in the NFL (and 1st on the Saints ahead of Michael Thomas) in yards from scrimmage per game. I have to think the Bears defense can scheme to contain Michael Thomas and see if Bridgewater slinging passes to Ted Ginn and their back-up tight end is going to lead to points. Don't get me wrong; the Bears are hardly heavy favorites just cause Kamara is out. But his absence should be a huge deal and should make this way more competitive than it looked a week ago before the injury report. My money is on Chicago at home.

You mean the invincible Patriots defense that has played these formidable offenses so far this year?

  • Steelers - 29th (points), 20th (yards)
  • Dolphins - 32nd (points), 31st (yards)
  • Jets - 31st (points), 32nd (yards)
  • Bills - 25th (points), 10th (yards)
  • Redskins - 30th (points), 28th (yards)
  • Giants - 24th (points), 24th (yards)

They have literally played the 4 worst scoring offenses in the league and 2 other scoring offenses that are right at the bottom quarter of the league.

Oh, and they get to play the Jets again this week along with 2 more matchups with the Bills and Dolphins in Weeks 16 and 17.

They gone win Sunday.

If we gone win this division, we gotta square up and beat them twice. They’ll more than likely have Brees back

Exactly, and until we can... im only gonna take are success with so much grain of salt.We are definitely better.... but Playoff team my ass, prove it against a team thats actually gonna be there. Thats how i feel.
