I had more or less the same thought at the time. So glad to be wrong.

Guilty.

I always refer to these as "Luke goes apesh-t" plays. They're loads of fun to watch.

It's fun to see him in the NFL Top 100 videos too. Opposing offensive guys always have the same look on their face when they talk about him :)

Luke will probably go down as the greatest linebacker (not edge linebacker) of all time. Yeah he has freakish speed and athleticism, and can cover like a safety, but his on field awareness and ability to identify plays is really extraordinary.

Some people say Rivera is why we usually have a solid defense. Honestly, I think Luke may be the reason. He's like an on-field defensive coordinator out there.

You can't replace Luke Kuechly. There will never be another like him. And now that we have a defense that fully listens to him and is capable of performing, especially the safeties, his legend will only grow. Someone needs to do an extended interview with McCoy or Boston or any veteran that's been on another team and ask what the difference is with Luke.

I love this idea. Someone needs to make it happen.

Maaaaaaaaan, if we could only get this idea to the Panthers' media team!

Luke would frustrate the living hell out of me if I were on offense.

A lot of guys have told the same story. They've got the play call, they get lined up, then all of a sudden they hear Kuechly pointing out what's about to happen and they're sitting there thinking "What the (bleep)?"

One guy actually pondered whether it was better to just go ahead and run the play or try to change it. In his opinion, you just have to run it and hope for the best because half the time if you audible to something else, he knows that too :)

Luke is awesome, love the guy!  I do also feel the man is his own defensive coordinator on the field calling the plays sometimes....he gets so frustrated when big offensive play breaks out, his heart is really in it!  I can totally see him being a DC or Linebackers coach for a team.  Olsen could be coach too, smart man but he will be doing the talking on sports network.
