What QB does Kyle Allen remind you of?

Young Matt Ryan

when he gets green lights he is willing to let it fly downfield.  Something Cousins and Smith naturally prefer not to so I don’t like those comparisons.

He had the green light last week, and all he did was throw them short. He's not a young Matt Ryan at all, he just doesn't have the arm.

The Matt Ryan comp is somewhat legitimate. Ryan’s noodle arm has been brilliantly hidden behind Julio Jones, Gonzo and others.

Ryan could sling it to Julio, it's not exactly the same. I hate Matt Ryan, but he definitely has a stronger arm than Allen.

Anyone can sling it to Julio lbr.

His size, strength and body control is probably the best combination the NFL has ever seen in a WR.

It's not like he was throwing bombs to Julio all day every day.

Curt is a field stretcher, but he's not gonna win the Contested catches Julio or A.J. did for their QBs.

No, but he can throw bombs. I've seen Matt Ryan overthrow Julio. I'm not seeing Allen overthrow anyone at the moment.

That's fine and dandy and I don't disagree.

However I still think Kyle's arm strength issue is a tad overblow, espcially after coming from Cam.

Kyle has a plenty capable enough arm. I don't think Curt's skillset gels with Kyle as much as Moore's or Olsen's has. I say the same thing about Baker and OBJ.

I thought it was overblown too, until last Sunday. He actually underthrew 5 balls, 5!

Ok? He has started a grand total of 7 games and is 23.  He is literally learning extreme basics  and was thrust into this position.  The present day Matt Ryan isn’t the comparison.  Ryan doesn’t have a strong arm.

And he is throwing to 5ft tall WRs on the outside  in addition to all that.   Which is something people are ignoring as well.  That isn’t how it works big picture.

Arm strength isn’t the issue.   Reps are.  He also has overthrew Samuel multiple times the week prior in SF.  But because this week they were underthrows it is a weak arm issue?
