Dave Tepper just spoke to a number of local media - mostly on background as a mid-season checkup. From a football perspective, he assured he’s focused on making the franchise a consistent winner. As far as Cam Newton’s future goes, no decision has been made.

He said no LONG term mediocrity. Didn’t explain what his definition of long term is. Nothing he said insinuates that he’s firing anyone.

I’m not sure why people hate on Tepper so much. First year was already planned with our coach and GM. He gave them one more season to see what they could do being that we started 6-2 before cams arm fell off. After this season they have no excuses. I believe we see a total different team next year and he knows it’s needed.

If 25+ years of mediocrity isn't considered long term then I don't know what is.
