The catch percentage is just a targets to receptions ratio. As far as drops, I don't think he really has a big issue with drops, moreso just being able to make plays on the ball. It's definitely not all his fault but elite playmakers and receivers both tend to be able to get open and make plays on the ball at a higher rate. IMO, Samuel is not that guy. He's a pretty average NFL complimentary role player. Nothing wrong with that at all but it is a far cry from what he was touted to be and I think drafted to be.

Ok your comparison to Percy was actually a decent one, curtis is about 10 pounds heavier. Harvin was actually really good in his first 4 years but got injured apparenty in his 4th a flamed out. Curtis got hurt and fought back, put on weight and is still getting better. If he is a Percy Harvin that doesn't flame out im plenty happy with that, best type of #2 you can ask for.

I like both Moore and CurtCo, and think they have done well given the circumstances (an injured Cam, and poor QB play from Allen). Moore is a 2nd year player, on pace for 1200+ yards. I’ve seen him get open, too, but Kyle just doesn’t have the arm to get it to him.

CurtCo has been a bit underwhelming, but he’s gotten open deep a few times, with Kyle or an injured Cam not able to get him the ball.

Im always for adding more offensive pieces, but I think it’s absurd to say Moore is nothing but a 2 or 3. He could be a 1 or 2 imo, and has played well.

Sometime entering threads in the huddle is like living in bizzaro world.

DJ has improved leaps and bounds from his rookie season, he’s catching every thing thrown his way and running better routes. And Samuel has been open deep all season long, we just have a noodle armed QB who can’t complete a pass longer than 30 yards.

Our receivers are fine - particularly compared to what we've had here in the past.

Problem is our oline can't pass protect and our QB can't throw the deep ball. Teams are sitting on their routes because of it - similar to when we Benjamin and Funchess but for different reasons (slow). You hit a couple of those deep passes and you'll be amazed at how all those underneath routes open up. All of a sudden Moore and Samuel are route-running experts then. But until that happens, they'll look pedestrian at best.

Even with all the missed deep balls to Samuel hes still got 460 yds....imagine if he had 3 of those deep balls, 600 yds? I want Cam back sooo bad lol. Healthy of course!

Imagine if Samuel attacked the ball and didn't sit back and allow defenders to make plays on so many throws...he have much better stats

He is a crazy good athlete and that is what you are highlighting.  But Samuel has a long way to go playing the position.

This has a Lot on coaches imo

The players Have the tools.

They HAVE shown the flashes proving they Can be something.

But these guys have been going around just going through motions.   They seem like they dont care.  Heck I pointed out the first Allen endzone int, Moore was right in the vicinity, didnt even attempt to make a play on the ball or defend the ball away.  He litterally looked like he didn't have a care in the world what was going on.

Its not a coincidence, that Moore's BIGGEST game of the season came last week vs Greenbay AFTER Smitty RIPPED them publicly.  They came out playing with a edge against a Very good GreenBay secondary after those comments.

After 89 called out the “WRs” they also opted to skew more targets to Moore and away from Samuel.  Targets went from roughly even to slanted to Moore.

Samuel is the dude who played bad vs SF.
