He's never been anything but an outstanding member of the community since he came here. He has also been a dynamic athlete and leader on the field. 

Sadly, he's stuck in a limbo at the moment when it comes to his career, based on things that neither he nor anyone else can control. I hope he heals up well and can suit up for us again and dazzle us on the field. If he can't make it back, I sure hope we remember not just the on the field work, but also how the man supported the community.

Cam has always been one of the best at doing charitable functions. Hope he continues to do so indefinitely.

True enough that local coverage here is much more balanced - I should have said national media / talking heads honestly. 

I have been a Panthers fan since the team's inception but only moved to NC last year, so a lot of my Panthers exposure was national (or local in New England... yuck), so my opinions of sports media's treatment of Cam has been slow to adapt.

Cams the best thing that ever happened to the Carolina Panthers.  Before we drafted him often here in Florida when I would talk football, people were like “oh yeh, you guys have a football team” 

when I’d say yeh we were in a Super Bowl. “Wow, really? When?”

im serious it was just like that.

Since Cam Newton, love or hate Superman touchdowns, dabbing, or whatever else he was up to; everyone knows there is a Carolina Panthers.
