I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Food, family, friends, football

The most amazing holiday of the year.

As such, every year I post my cranberry sauce recipe. Free yourselves from the abomination that is canned cranberry sauce. The real thing is just as easy and so much tastier.

1 package fresh cranberries

1 cup sugar

1 cup orange juice

Put all that poo in a pot, heat on medium and stir. Once boiling the cranberries will start to pop. Keep stirring until they all pop. Let cool and serve warm or cold.

Add a cinnamon stick or two and some orange zest to kick things up a notch.  This recipe is simple and quick, only takes about 15 minutes to accomplish.  I dare anyone to go back to canned cranberry sauce after tasting their own (vastly superior) sauce.

My wife has a Mango Cake today.  Never had it, so I am looking forward to trying it.  Of course, we also have Pumpkin and Apple Pie, along with Chocolate cake just in case the Mango Cake is not a hit.

Never heard of it----we are counting on a full report.

I'm a sucker for pretty much anything mango so I'm sure I'd love it.

I'm on a diet so I'm sitting here watching football drinking 100 calorie 3.5g carb IPAs with turkey and ham cooking with green beans, brussel sprouts, and mashed cauliflower also on the menu. No stuffing, no pies but I'm not letting the holidays derail me dammit!
