Hypothetical: What will it take to get Rivera fired BEFORE the end of the season?

There is really no reason to fire him at the moment. We don't have someone in the wings that is going to be a viable option for interim to permanent head coach. We don't have any playoff spot to fight for. Just let him lose out and improve our draft position. He's building an even greater case for his dismissal with each game.

Exactly!  There are 4 games left.  Is an interim coach going to make that much of a difference?  We are out of playoff contention, so all we would be doing is having "moral victories" and worsening our draft position.  I'm willing to take the upcoming L's if it means a high draft pick, new coaching staff, and new GM.

By not firing Ron now, Tepper is giving Ron enough rope to hang himself.  There will be no excuses come end of the season.  The irony that Ron has never produced back-to-back winning seasons but is about to produce back-to-back 2nd half of the season losing streaks can't be lost on Tepper.  It definitely isn't lost on me or any of the fans and media.

They will wait until the season ends to make any moves. 2019 is over for this team and it is pointless to do it now. Knee jerk reactions after taking ass beatings are only natural.

When you sit back and think about it, better to wait a month. RR isn't the devil and seems like a good man. No need to embarrass him. Let him go without alot of hard feelings and drama.

Sure, although it probably doesn't change anything at the moment. Not sure there is a real benefit from canning him prior to the end of the season, similar to Ron.
