Scott Turner is now play caller / offensive coordinator

In the video I just posted (pinned in forum), Tepper says Scott Turner is now offensive play caller. Clearly he is interested in seeing what Scott can do. Has to make me think Scott Turner will play in the new regime and give some legitimacy to the Harbaugh rumors as they have worked together before.

I would LOVE giving Harbaugh a shot with Scott staying as QBs coach or OC if he does well these 4 games. Also, while I think it should be up to the HC, I’d love it if Blackburn sticks around. Overall he’s done an excellent job with the ST, despite not having great personnel for it.

Let's not read too much into who has been retained/promoted within for the remaining games.

These guys are auditioning for their next jobs elsewhere.

Rivera will probably be in Dallas next season as the HC. He will certainly get an interview from EVERY team that fires their head coach for two reasons: 1) he has a good record, two Coach of the Year awards and a Superb Owl appearance; and 2) he fulfills every team's requirement for the Rooney Rule while being an actual contender for a head coaching job.

I think Jerry Jones will write him the big check.

I would be down with Harbaugh. Has that old school toughness mentality and isn’t afraid to innovate on offense.

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
