I haven't really expected Tepper to say anything otherwise. Anyone in his position with half a clue would convey confidence in a player like Cam given the possibility of a trade.

Regardless it won't make a difference what he says to those who made up their minds about Cam all the way back in April of 2011 and have been longing for the day he finally leaves ever since.

Sounds like posturing to both other teams and fans.

Tells other teams he isn’t just going to give him up for nothing to boost his trade value.

Tells fans that the the only reason he would move on is if Cam isn’t healthy enough to be trusted so that he doesn’t seem like the bad guy if he ships Cam out. He can just say that he didn’t think Cam could stay healthy.

The second tweet that says he will do due diligence and listen to offers gives it away. He is in no way married to the idea that Cam is the starter next season.

I don't really see a bunch of people here predicting Cam being gone. The vast majority agree with Tepper. A healthy Cam would be spectacular.

There's a weird thing on this board where people can't seem to differentiate between what you believe will happen and what you want to happen.

Especially when it comes to the Panthers, those two things are quite frequently very different.
