Now, I had this discussion with some people over the weekend and a friend actually came up with an idea that I liked(which will never happen, IMO). If you want them to stop, don't fine the organization, don't suspend Belichick, heck don't even bother with draft picks. That has all happened before and it didn't matter. You want to immediately stop it, ban them from the postseason. Set that as a precedent for repeat offenders.

Watch how quickly that poo stops when they are a #2 seed in the AFC watching the playoffs from the house.

The dude was shooting signals and the players subbing in for an entire quarter! You don’t need that kind of footage for a stupid web series.

I'd also say it's pretty obvious the camera guy knows he's caught and just keeps repeating the same crap, which is likely exactly what the Patriots told him to do.

Remember they had ready made excuses during the first Spygate too.

I'm all for it. I think it would definitely stop that poo, until they got better at it.

I believe it would stop it because as a repeat offender, each infraction should result in another postseason at the house. That's why I liked the idea. It immediately establishes a serious penalty for the obvious misconduct.

That would bring about a hissy fit of biblical proportions.

If you want the Pats to stop cheating, you have to actually hurt them.

Ban Bill from the team for the rest of the season and post season.

Make him have to beg to be reinstated in the offseason.

That's the only way the cheating will stop.

Make him step on a lego brick!

Which is fine. My God, at this point they have established a clear history of cheating that has also resulted in SIX Super Bowl titles. SIX. So, how is a high level of punishment not warranted? The last cheating scandal was so bad the NFL had to burn the tapes to protect the perception of the integrity of the game. Now we are literally seeing the video itself and the reaction. Kudos to the Bengals and the sports media for spreading this ASAP. We finally get to see just a glimpse of what their program during Spygate was all about.

I think the release of those tapes is going to force them to act. I think it really will be a severe penalty this time(coaching/owner suspension, serious fine, multiple draft picks lost). The NFL is very sensitive about the court of public opinion and they see that the public wants blood.

Would be ironic as hell if the Patriots finally getting the kind of punishment they deserved was a result of them being caught on film.
