Well, he quit/retired from the Seahawks so there very well may be some effort/desire issues there. But, I think he was basically a flier pick on a prototype athlete. 6'2" 210 with 4.3 speed is hard to find.

Then there's this from the "Sources Tell Us" section of his Combine profile that is very telling...

"There is a buzz going around about him from some people I talk to on a regular basis but I'm not sure where it is coming from. He's fast, but what else?" -- NFC executive

I mean, he was a 2* recruit coming out of HS. That's hard to do when you have his size and speed. Usually that type of size and speed is good for at least 3* even if you look like you've never played football before.

Honestly, with his measurables if he has the want to he could probably carve out a nice career as Colin Jones 2.0. Career special teamer and emergency DB.

How old is Jones at this point?
