JAX is not eating 9M in dead cap space if he’s playing anywhere near above average.

You sure his contract is like this? I read they would save all the money. Also Marino said that as well, also his pal on Draft Network came out with an article showing how Norwell would save them money

They would still save $5.5M even after eating the $9M. The question for the Jags becomes not whether he's worth $14.5M but whether he's worth $5.5M because he's costing them $9M against the cap no matter what.

Yes. It saves 5.5M. But then you have to replace him for that, at a similar level of play. Point is, if he’s playing at an above average level, as you said, they aren’t cutting him and eating 9M. But he isn’t playing that well, so they might.

Yes. It’s a simple contract. I’m sure. Why am I supposed to rely on the word of random internet guys?

Just like with us, without the post June 1st designation possibility, Trai is almost certainly back since we can only save $3.3M by cutting him. Same with Paradis since we'd only save $1.6M. Releasing short would only save us $2.9M with over $17M in dead cap (thanks Hurney!).

I had no clue about it until a couple weeks ago. But the FO should have known this for a long time.

Not a fan of McCarthy unless he’s being a A1 dc

not a fan of Easton

i like brown in the first, but taking the best s should be a possibility also along with cb.

mcoy, bradberry, and Boston should be our resigns, maybe butler for cheap, big maybe there

need to determine if we’re running 3-4 or 4-3 ASAP, because regardless we don’t have any players who can set the edge.

should explore a trade for Trent Williams and let Daley or little further develop.

need to target a guard, maybe the guy from the redskins, in fa, turner play has been garbage since his resigning

Resign Bradberry, draft an actual safety. I doubt McCoy wants to hang around, I bet he’ll sign with a Super Bowl favorite team. Boston can go bye bye. Move Reid to OLB, that means we need two safety’s.

McCoy sticking around is hit or miss, we should still attempt to keep him, whether he stays is up to him.

boston can go if need be but he’s been one of the few bright spots on defense, specially pass defense. Moving Reid to olb also is intriguing and that pair with keeping Boston and drafting a safety may yield the biggest difference in overall defense.

cb should still be on the radar slightly also

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
