If we get Oline and Dline help in the draft.. Than I love for Green to be a FA target..

WR is the most overrated position in football.

Truth.

We should know this by now from 2015. Build a competent offensive and defensive line, coupled with a qb who doesn’t turn the ball over  and it doesn’t matter what you have at the skill positions.  It’s also the reason we shouldn’t break the bank when CMC’s deal comes calling.

"Let's sign this guy who used to be good" is a pretty common thread topic.

I think I'm starting to figure out the disconnect of some of the posters around here, specifically when speaking on Cam's injury, but also other players coming off injury.

The younger posters have never had lingering issues that simply don't seem to heal correctly, or to 100% yet.......yet.  I deal with an arthritic wrist from a nasty injury from snowboarding, and a finicky back from a freak beach voleyball injury.  I'm certainly no Boomer, but closer to 40 than I would like to be.

It's really the only thing that I can figure....when most on here are proclaiming that "Cam is 100% and will be ready for camp" talk is going on....my body is telling me to slow my roll a bit.

One thing about it: you're generally not going to be in anything without a good one.

4 WR's in the top 20 in receiving yards are in the playoffs.

Does having one help?  Hell yes, do you have to have a top flight WR to make the playoffs?  No, it certainly doesn't seem so.

Making the playoffs is fine, but actually winning the Super Bowl is the goal.

"Topflight" is kind of subjective. I've always said your need legit playmakers at the position. Even Metcalf and Deebo are that. And the one team that doesn't necessarily have those legit playmakers at WR definitely have them at TE.

It increases your odds by having exceptional pass catchers.

BTW, I'm not stumping for Green.

I prefer to have high end guys on the outside as well, just don't think it's necessary to be successful.

I would much prefer to build the offensive line vs. the WR corps, but that's just the way that I like to construct a team.  If the QB can't stay upright, the WR's are going to be somewhat useless.
