The thing is, Foles isn’t really that good, he had one magical run but otherwise it seems like he just lost the job in JAX to a 6th round rookie who was solid but at times looked like Kyle Allen... I think the Eagles ultimately made the right decision to see if Wentz’ upside could show and he could get healthy, because they really do not have a good enough team (offensive weapons and secondary...) for Foles to have any success with them at this point. Wentz is kind of their only hope unless they go into a mini rebuild/re-tool.

The dude had a freak injury and tried to come back too fast. The team was already done at that point and the rookie had chemistry.

they can’t go back, but Foles was the choice.

I'm at the airport so not watching the game, but why didn't they go for a FG? 6 minutes and all their timeouts. I don't get not taking the 3 so a TD wins the game instead of if you don't get the 4th and 4, which they didn't, you don't need a TD and a 2 point conversion. Even if you get the first, you aren't guaranteed to punch it in that drive anyway.

They had the 4th down. The running back dropped it. It was the right call and McCown is moving the ball.  They kick but then only a field goal would still have them 8 down.

ETA: I do get the 2 chances at a TD/2 pointer, but with 6 minutes left, if you don't get it and Seattle kicks a FG, the game's over.

The announcers mentioned that Doug Pederson tends to go for it a lot.
