Marty on Rhule and Cam Newton status

From his press conference he said he wants guys that love the game of football and want to give it their all and love the team and want to be here...I don't think there is another player on this team that can even come close to how much Cam loves this team/city/game.  He's the man to roll with, he still gives us a better chance then either Allen or Grier.

The only thing that I see as a problem is that Rhule is that he was completely unprepared to take a NFL job. That doesn't mean that things won't work out but it's going to put us behind and we have the draft in 3 and half months. That's 14 weeks to get a staff and a program together for the year.

See how this new "sports science" can help Cam....his recover.......and keeping fresh/recover from injury faster.  Remember everyone's concerns about Cam and his shoulder as the season went on, this could help that.

Maybe. But might be too late for that if his shoulder is still constantly sore. If only the last regime cared more about it ..

Things change that's life. We all know deep down things could be reaching a close with Cam's career with the Panthers.

But people want to win. They don't want a team that is the joke amongst the division and the conference. If you move on from a player the caliber of Cam Newton, you need to replace him with someone with more playmaking ability than the likes of Kyle Allen or Will Grier.

If Cam is done we have to go out and get a dynamic QB this year.

Nobody out there will give a poo about a fun press conference from January if we are once again trotting out more mediocrity behind center.

He has had a LONG time to rest the shoulder.  That should be the least of his worries by now.

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
