Lawrence really didn't look that good last night, though.

Definitely didn't look anywhere near as pro ready as Burrow.

No argument on last night. Burrow looked better. Brady did a masterful job adjusting to Venables scheme.

But I'm not going to base my opinion on these quarterbacks solely on one game (granted a really big game against a quality opponent). I like the longer track record you're getting with Lawrence, plus you'll still have next year to evaluate him more. Build the lines in 2020 and if we're picking in the top 10 in 2021, sell the farm for Lawrence. You'll be getting a three year starter with lots of big game experience.

Burrow is 23 Lawrence just turned 20 in October. He’s got a lot of growing to do but he’s got tools better than Burrow. Burrow is a great prospect. But equating the two right now isn’t fair.

What worries me about Lawrence is that it feels like he's actually looked better in prior years.

Mind you, he could turn that around in the coming season.

He’s still basically 19 years old. He’s got a lot of growing to do. I’m also wondering what Lawrence would do with how stacked that LSU offense was. I’m not shitting on Burrow. I think he’s gonna be good in the nfl. He can make some insane throws and on the run with his mobility. Throws that transfer to the nfl. I think people down on Lawrence are pretty ridiculous right now. Lawrence has the “it” factor along with the measurables and arm.

only if it's absolutely clear cam can't go.

What if it’s still unclear but we could get a haul in a trade for him? Yes the risk is he comes back as good as he’s ever been and you let him go but the reward is getting multiple picks to accelerate a rebuild for damaged goods...

It’s one game and his first and only loss. Plus he’s a sophomore, Burrow is a redshirt senior.... Lawrence is the better long term QB prospect for sure.

I certainly wouldn't say for sure. But there are definitely a lot of people jumping the gun this morning about Lawrence all of a sudden sucking at football. He's still a great college QB and a great NFL prospect, but if I'm choosing between the two right now I'm taking Joe Burrow all day everyday.

There's no package that the Panthers could possibly put together that would move Cincinnati off that pick. They've been gifted the most valuable asset in football...A franchise QB on a rookie deal for 4 years plus a 5th year option.

Unless they decide they want to tank again for Lawrence because they like him better than Burrow and will use what we give up to build their D or OL, etc.? Who knows what they’re thinking or how much they like Burrow?

Us getting multiple picks? Nah.

We’d be giving up cam, our first probably next year’s first and a second this year.

They are better off accepting their gift. Before the season everyone was tanking for Tua but then he had a serious injury. The Bengals lucked out that Burrow emerged.

I meant Cam in a separate trade not a package for 1st overall
